Crossroads
Crossroads
June the 11th will be the 1 year anniversary of me starting New Disciples Ministry. One year into it, this ministry has reached a crossroads. I've worked hard to keep it growing. We literally have thousands of friends between our Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter pages. We have our website now which gets a little traffic, I'm hoping to bring in more. As with any organization, when you have many members, you still only have a very few who really participate, but that's alright. As long as we can reach one person in all of this and encourage them somehow, I'll know that all of the work has been worth it. I've recently redesigned all of our pages because I've started traveling with the 'Follow Me Tour' putting on youth rallies in this region of the country and wanted the pages to look put together really well before I started promoting them. I've spent a bit of money to have some nice fliers and pamphlets put together about New Disciples to hand out at the youth rallies and to start posting and handing out in all the towns near where I'm from.
I've really thrown myself into this ministry in recent times as a kind of therapy for myself. Though the ministry has been going strong, other parts of my life have been a struggle at times and New Disciples has been an escape or shelter for me to hide in. I've pretty much been doing all of the work on this ministry myself for a while now. Most everyone around me has been going in different directions in their lives, so they haven't really been able to participate in this ministry. I understand all of that and I hold no grudges. I have reached a point to where it sometimes feels like it's too much to take on myself though. I'll never give up, but I do hope I can find some Christian friends interested in working with me in New Disciples Ministry.
I've been working so much on the looks of the profiles and rounding up friends, that I haven't finished or posted the pile of teachings I've been working on for a while now. I've got several studies in the works, some of which are going to be controversial, but I'm doing them anyway. I hope to start typing them in very soon.
Anyway, that's where this ministry and myself are at right now. I hope and pray for your continued support and I would be honored to hear from you about this ministry. Maybe you would even be interested in becoming and active part of it. Anyway, thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
Your brother in Christ, Pete.
