Never Alone

Never Alone How many of you have ever reached a point in your life where you felt like the world was crashing down on you and everyone had abandoned you? I know I've gone through this myself several times throughout my life. In the past it was very hard to deal with. I would get in a financial bind, not be able to get out and go like I wanted, start feeling like I couldn't provide for my family like I should and feel like less of a man. I would be at my house alone just thinking about these things over and over. This would make me sink down into a deep depression. I would feel so alone since Tonya and the kids live fifty miles away from me. Even earlier in life, I would reach points like this. I remember back in high school, I'd get into an arguement with friends about something and go off by myself and feel like I was the only person on the face of the planet sometimes. Today I still run into those same situations, in fact I'm still dealing with some stuff right now. The difference now though is that a little over a year ago, I got saved( I asked for God to come into my heart and help me). Ever since then, those hard times haven't been quite so hard. Even though I still get those feelings, I don't feel alone anymore and can feel a since of comfort coming from out of nowhere. I know it comes from having God in my life and having him watch over me. He has shown me that I have what is important in life, a loving family, good friends, and most importantly, His love. God has shown me the way through the hard times in life and that the material things like a big house, new cars, and the most expensive clothes aren't the least bit important. He has told us this through Jesus Christ in our bible. Here are some scriptures telling us so. Hebrews 13:5- 13:6 5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." 6 So we may boldly say: " The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" In other words, don't worry over what you don't have, but be happy with what you do have. By living like this you will have the comfort in knowing that the people of the world that are pulling at you have no power over you. Matthew 28:18 - 28:20 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Jesus was speaking to his apostles here just before he ascended into heaven. He is telling you himself here that if you live a good, decent life and spread His teachings to others, He will be with you forever, even to the end of the world! It's that simple; live a decent life and God will always be there watching over you. It dosen't mean that everything is always going to go your way. It does mean that you will never be alone though.
