Fight

Fight Even though our victory is predestined, that doesn't mean you don't have to join the fight! As Christians, we know through the book of Revelations that we will conquer evil in the end. That does not mean that you can just sit by complacently and let others fight the battle for you. That doesn't mean that you can just give in to the lure of sin and live a life of decadence and expect to reap the rewards of others who have stayed true to the faith. No, we are not all knights in shining armor, as pure as the driven snow. Many of us have our flaws and our own sin that we battle all through our mortal life. Those of us staying true to our faith in God and trying to live righteously fail ourselves and God from time to time during the course of our life. It doesn't make us hypocrites, it makes us human. The difference is, that when we have our failures both big and small, we feel repentant because we know we have gone astray. We know we have sinned and feel sorrow and the fear of God in our heart. We beg our Lord for His forgiveness and His guidance so that we don't slip and fall again. Our God knows that we aren't perfect. He knows that the only perfect one who was pure and free from sin was His only begotten Son who He sent here to die for the sins He knew we would commit because He loves us so very much! So, never give up the fight or expect anyone else to do it for you because you think you are 'too far gone' or you aren't worthy. Stand up with your bible as your sword and read and speak the word of God! That is your weapon in the war with evil. Kneel down and pray for forgiveness and guidance from God and for your friends and family, for your enemies, and for the lost! That is your defense in the war against evil. Don't sit back and put of 'getting right' with God for another day. You may run out of days for that before you get around to it. Tomorrow is never guaranteed to you. Brush the dust off of that bible that has been setting up on that shelf forever and start reading it. Go to your bedroom, shut the door and start praying to our Lord in private. That is the way that you begin to take up the fight!
