It's God's Law Not Hate!

It's God's Law Not Hate! I've seen, heard, and read so much in the media lately concerning homosexuals, gay ministers, and same-sex marriage it's ridiculous. Many ministers are afraid to touch on this subject for fear of offending someone in their congregation and driving them away and losing their tithes. Others are afraid of being accused of preaching hate. I don't receive tithes for my ministry and I know I'm not preaching hate. I'm just teaching what the Holy Bible tells me when it comes to my view on homosexual ministers and same-sex marriage. Before I go any further, let's read some scripture: Romans 1:24-32 (New King James Version) 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,a]" class="footnote">[a] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,b]" class="footnote">[b] unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. These scriptures clearly show that homosexuality is sin leading to spiritual death and is something that people must stop partaking of and be repentent for. How can someone living a life of sin claim to be a minister and what kind of church would want them as their pastor? A minister is to be an example to their congregation! What kind of a minister would lead his flock to believe that living a sinful life is okay and has no consequences? A minister of the enemy that's who! I would never be hateful to a person or try to hurt them just becauseof they were homosexual. I definitely wouldn't turn them away from my ministry, because they surely need the word of God in their life. In fact, someone I care for very much has said that they are bisexual. I would never wish my friend any harm and hope they are never persecuted. I only wish and pray that they would let God into their heart and realize their sin for what it is before it's too late. I want to see them with the Lord when our eternal life gets here after this temporal one is over. Another subject that is a hot topic in recent times, is same-sex marriage. Let's look at some scriptures on this subject: Genesis 2:24 (New King James Version) 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Jesus reiterates this passage in the books of Matthew and Mark in the New Testament: Matthew 19:4-5 (New King James Version) 4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who madea]" class="footnote">[a]them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’b]" class="footnote">[b] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?c]" class="footnote">[c] Mark 10:6-9 (New King James Version) 6 But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’a]" class="footnote">[a] 7 ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh’;b]" class="footnote">[b] so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” It's all pretty clear to me, what the scriptures say. Marriage is the union of one man and one woman in the eyes of God. It's also been that way in the laws of man for centuries. You may be able to twist man's laws to accomadate sin, but you can't change God's law. The coupling of two men or two women is not sin; it's spiritual death. I have not try to hurt, persecute, discriminate, or preach hate about anyone in this teaching. It's not hate; it's God's law. Pete 6-9-09
