What does it mean to be a Christian?

What does it mean to be a Christian? What does it mean to be a Christian? This an honest question that's on many peoples minds all over the world. Thousands of preachers, priests, ministers, and so on are guilty of making this very confusing. Here is the plain and simple version. The first requirement of being a Christian is this; you have to believe with all your heart! You believe that Jesus Christ was a part of the one and only, all powerful God that took on human form and was born into this world through a virgin woman named Mary. You believe that as an adult, Jesus walked the earth (being the only person without sin) teaching us the proper way to live our lives and how to come to a place that we would be worthy of living out eternity along side the one true God in the kingdom of heaven. You believe that Jesus was so feared by the hypocritical church and government at that time that they brought false charges against him and had him executed. And you believe that he gave himself as the ultimate sacrifice to God so that we would all be free of all of our sins by accepting him into our hearts and asking God for forgiveness. Does that sound like a lot to do in order to save your very own soul? I'll quote you one piece of scripture from the Holy Bible and leave you alone to think about it, okay? Here it is..... It's from the New Testament, The book of John, chapter3, verse 16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Word Of God is telling you in this verse that God loves you so much that he allowed his only son be put to death so that your soul would be saved when your body dies and will come to live in heaven with him forever if you just believe in him with all of your heart.
