What Good Are You Doing?

What Good Are You Doing? One thing that I'm happy to say that this ministry has done from the beginning is that it accepts everyone. Our ministry's main Myspace and Facebook pages send and accept friend requests from everyone no matter how shocking, vulgar, or 'ungodly' the person's profile or status may be. The only profiles we delete are the ones that are really just links to porn sites. Some of you may be offended if you look at many of the profiles on our friends list and wonder what kind of a ministry would be associated with such people! Well, I've got one question for you. What good is a ministry if it only reaches out to those who are already saved and walking with God? What good is a ministry who turns away anyone who doesn'y look or act exactly the way you think they should? If you never reach out to or accept in anyone who doesn't know about Jesus, your ministry is of no use to the Lord!!! If all you want to do, is invite in those who are already Christians and living a Godly life, you've got a club, not a ministry. The only way you can help anyone get 'saved' is to reach out to those who have lost their way. It's great to bring The Word to those in your congregation each week, but if you don't reach out to all the lost souls of the world and witness to them when you have the chance, you are not serving God as you should. You may in fact be in danger of angering Him! I deal with seeing a lot of ungodliness everytime I log onto our ministry's main pages. I see all of the vulgarity when I log in and see our homepages, all of you, as our friends, don't see it. I know that a lot of you think that letting just anyone be on your friends list may reflect badly on you with some Christians, but just think about one thing. Would you rather have a few 'Christians' upset with you for accepting everyone or would you rather have CHRIST upset with you for not accepting everyone? I'll just leave you with one scripture. Mark 2:15-18 (New King James Version) 15 Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. 16 And when the scribes anda..]" class="footnote">[a] Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?” 17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” b..]" class="footnote"> If I've shocked or offended you, I'm not sorry. I'm not trying to be mean; I'm just trying to open your eyes. We must step out of our comfort zone and do that which God intends for us to do. We must witness to the lost and bring them into the house of our Lord. Your brother in Christ, Pete. Pete 10-28-09
