The Flood
The Flood
A couple of weeks ago, I took a couple of vacation days from work and had a long weekend. The Friday I took off, I decided to take a drive down to Concord, NC. It's about 45 minutes from my home. As I was driving down I-85, I was listening to a favorite rockband of mine; The Cult. Yes, a rockband named The Cult. Some of their songs are very spiritual if you've ever taken the time to pay attention. Anyway, as I was driving down the interstate in the Mustang, I was deep in thought and prayer. It was some time for just me and God. Yes, my time with God was cruising down the interstate in a Mustang GT with metal music playing. During this time God started giving me all of these ideas of subjects to write about for the ministry. My mind was literally flooded with thoughts for bible studies, inspirationals, poetry, and maybe even some songs. I know I haven't posted much writing lately, but I did do a pretty intense bible study for my friend Michelle's internet group. I also posted it on newdisciplesministry.com . It's called 'Who's Your God? (Idolatry in the Modern World). Anyhow, I've got a lot of ideas and material I'll be working on in the near future, as soon as I get some other projects set in stone which I'll be telling you more about. They involve taking New Disciples Ministry beyond the internet! So, prepare yourselves for the flood people. We're gonna be hitting you with a whole lot of Jesus really soon!
May the peace of the Lord be with you my friends, Pete.
P.S. While I was in Concord, at Books A Million, I ran into this young man while I was browsing through the bibles. He asked if I was a Christian and I told him yes of course. We talked about our faith and bible translations and he even asked me if I needed prayer for anything. It really rekindled the fire in my heart to see a new generation fired up for God like that! God was really working on me and through me that day. God is simply amazing!!!
