A little something about God.

A little something about God. How many of you have been lectured on the music you listen to, the books you read, or the movies you watch? Have you heard rock and metal called the devil's music? Have you been told reading Stephen King is bad for your soul? Have you been told watching Harry Potter is promoting black magic and witchcraft? I think I've heard about all of these things at some point in time. If these things were sins, I'd be guilty of every one of them. Let's clarify a few things here. In the Bible God tells us he is the one and only God. He tells us that worshiping other Gods or false idols is blasphemy; the worst possible sin. Also in the Bible, Jesus cast spirits out of those who were possessed by unclean spirits(demons). And, we read of wizards and others who practice witchcraft. They gain those powers by being possessed of demonic spirits and being followers of the devil. Now, watching a movie or reading a book by Stephen King or J.K. Rowling has never inclined me to practice witchcraft or worship satan. It just entertained me. As for listening to aggressive music, the same thing. I've never wanted to worship the devil or been possessed by a spirit by hearing a song. There are things you should stay away from. The use of quija boards, performing saiances, and playing around with pagan rituals is very, very dangerous. These practices bridge the gap between worlds. When you do this, you're allowing spirits back into our realm that could possibly destroy you! I may sound crazy to you, but if you believe in God, you have to believe in the enemy as well. Their are such things as demonic spirits and they can possess and destroy you. God dosen't want to see you throw your life away or destroy your soul. He loves you and wants you to come to live with him in heaven. He's not going to condemn you for watching a movie, listening to a song, or reading a book. These are not the things in life to avoid. Things like adultery, lieing, thieving, killing, and putting other things before God are what will ruin your soul. Just read the Bible if you don't believe me. Pete 11-23-08
