Stay Positive Luke 9:5 (King James Version) 5And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. This scripture has come to have new meaning for me. I've seen people from so many different walks of life worshipping together in harmony that it's truly been miraculous. I've also seen people who are so closed-minded and set in their ways, that they refuse to give anyone a chance to present the gospel to them in a modern way or refuse to listen to scientific evidence that actually proves the bible right! The ministry I travel with putting on praise n worship events, uses Christian hip hop, rock, folk, gospel, contemporary, and metal musicians to help carry the message to our audience along with one of us speaking and bringing the word. I have never met a more Godly group of people in my life, but I know there are people out there who would never accept us in their churches and would claim that God could never be in what we're doing. I've met other people in my travels who said that they had been put down or not accepted for their way of ministering the gospel to people. That's where Luke 9:5 comes into the picture. When Jesus sent the 70 disciples out in twos to minister to people, he told them there would be people who would not accept or hear them. He simply told them to shake the dust of those cities off of there feet and move on to the next. In other words, don't let resistance to your work for God get you down. Simply shake it off and move on to the next person. Some people will let you help them and some won't. As Jesus said in the gospel, "They already have their reward." Remember to stay positive in the face of resistance and adversity and you will have your reward in the next world! Your brother in Christ, Pete 8-20-09
