Open Our Eyes

Open Our Eyes My ministry sister Jennifir and I were texting this evening. She was telling me about the double rainbow she saw today and how emotional it made her. I said "It's like God's right there with you" and she sad "YES". I feel the same way sometimes when I see a rainbow, a misty mountain, or a sunrise. We agreed that it's God reminding us to enjoy the most simple, most beautiful things He has put in our world and in our lives. We've both been through a lot lately and haven't taken the time to notice all the things that God has put in our lives. I told her that moments like that make me feel like Paul when God removed the scales from his eyes. Acts 9:17-19 (Amplified Bible) 17So Ananias left and went into the house. And he laid his hands on Saul and said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, Who appeared to you along the way by which you came here, has sent me that you may recover your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit. 18And instantly something like scales fell from [Saul's] eyes, and he recovered his sight. Then he arose and was baptized, 19And after he took some food, he was strengthened. For several days [afterward] he remained with the disciples at Damascus. Sometimes God gives us a wake up call. He sees His children running around searching for something instead of paying attention to what's right in front of them. Sometimes, our Father has to grab us by the collar and tell us to slow down and open up our eyes. Just like Paul, sometimes God has to put something in our path that opens up the eyes of our heart. Your brother in Christ, Pete. Pete 1-25-10
