I Have Witnessed God At Work

I Have Witnessed God At Work I have heard so many people saying they want to see a great movement of God. They want to see him do something before their own eyes in order to renew their faith. I tell you now that God is worknig right in front of them, but their spiritual eyes are too blind to even see it. These people want to see God move a mountain or split the sky open and reveal himself to them. What purpose would that serve? Why would our God use his power for useless actions that are of no benefit to his children? What good would moving a mountain serve anyone? I have seen God at work though. I have seen him staying very busy lately. I have seen him deliver my fiancee's mother and father from 30 years of addiction to painkillers. They got into a clinic and have been following the guidelines for three months now and are back in church. They never forgot God and he never forgot them. I've seen God deliver one of our church elders from lukemia as well. Her doctors said that none of the chemo was working, but our church prayed and prayed for her and she kept her faith. She was declared free of the cancer a couple of weeks ago and is recovering from her ordeal. God healed her. On a more personal note, I've seen God deliver my fiancee from a terrible spirit of depression. Several weeks ago, a revival was taking place in a nearby town and the minister there had a great gift of healing that God used him for. She went to the revival four times while it was going on. Through watching all of these people being healed and seeing their restored hope, it sparked something inside of her. On the last night of the revival, though she had never talked to the pastor, he walked by her and said that that spirit of depression would be leaving her. I have seen a great change in her ever since. If you want to see a great movement of God, open up your spiritual eyes and watch what is going on around you. You will realize that God is very busy all around you. You'll see that he is working on friends, family, even strangers you're around everyday. If you keep trying to see him at work with your mortal eyes, you'll never see him. It would be a shame and a sin for you to never experience our God at work in your life everyday. I say a sin, because if you never open your spiritual eyes and your heart to him, then you never truly believed in him. Pete 2/23/09
